• What a year at Crossroads

This Sunday, is “CELEBRATION SUNDAY” at Crossroads and we have a lot to celebrate! Take a moment and look back with me and you’ll rejoice in what God has done through our Crossroads’ family this year! This is merely a glimpse of what we’ve seen in 2015, and all of these statistics represent the most ever in our church’s 45-year history!

  • We rejoiced as over 700 people were baptized.
  • We averaged right at 6,740 in morning worship.
  • $1,433,855.00 was given to missions.
  • Over $350,000,00 was given to help 471 different families, 1,574 individuals, through Change For A Dollar.
  • The total amount given was $10,510,896.81, which includes over $2 million given to our new youth building. (We now have over $5 million earning interest at The Solomon Foundation for our new youth building. We’re getting there!)
  • We have the largest number of small groups ever at Crossroads with over 228 Connect Groups and 2,500 people participating.
  • We have more of our young people in Bible College/Seminary training for full-time ministry than ever with 26 full-time students.
  • 2015 marked 23 consecutive years of growth at Crossroads.

Sunday morning, we’ll be sharing our 2015 YEAR-IN-REVIEW movie, which will show even more, chronicling many of the great things God has done this past year. Bring your family and invite your friends to be a part of this super celebration on Sunday at 8:45, 10:00 and 11:30.

Are you part of one of our incredible Connect Groups yet? If not, this Sunday is the perfect opportunity to start. Come by the GRAND HALL and you’ll find everything you need, including Connect Group leaders and staff who can help you find the right group for you. We encourage everyone to join a group with people you already know and enjoy. In other words, if you’re a married couple, get another couple to join a group with you. If you’re single, get another single to join with you. If you’re new, we can help you find a group of people with similar interests or who are in the same age and stage of life you are. The WINTER SEASON of Connect Groups begins January 10 — and we’d love to have every adult and young person at Crossroads enjoying the privilege of being connected. Make plans now for life to get better and get connected this Sunday morning.

On Sunday, January 3, we’ll begin one of the most unique and powerful sermon series we’ve done here at Crossroads. It’s based on one little word: “IF.” We got the idea from a new book by Mark Batterson called: “IF: Trading Your If Only Regrets for God’s WHAT IF.” If you’re ready for things to change, for God to do something new in your life, to see your dreams come true, then you’re going to love this new series. All of the messages will be based on the 8th Chapter of Romans. You can get Mark’s book in our bookstore or on Amazon, and you can read Romans 8 so you are ready to go when we kick off the new series in January. I can’t wait to share this new study with you. It has the potential to be one of the best series we’ve ever done!

Each year, we’re blessed by people in our church family who give a special year-end gift to Crossroads, above and beyond their regular giving. There are a number of opportunities and tax advantages to giving in this way. If you would like to talk to someone about a year-end gift, call our office and speak with Alan Stein, our Executive Pastor. Your gift, if postmarked by December 31, will be tax deductible in 2015. We appreciate you remembering Crossroads in your year-end giving. If you didn’t get a chance to give in our annual Christmas Love Offering, you can still do that as well.

If you’ve ever wanted to go to the Holy Land, or you’ve been before, or you just want to catch a glimpse of what it was like when 87 of us went to the Holy Land last month, here’s a brief video from our trip. Just enter the password: Jerusalem.

This Sunday will be the final opportunity for our Crossroads’ family to worship together this year and it’s going to be an incredible day of CELEBRATION! We’ll have incredible worship, a powerful message — and a perennial Crossroads’ favorite, our 2015 Year-in-Review movie. We’ll look back and celebrate all God has done this year. You won’t want to miss a minute, so come early and expectantly. It’s going to be a great day. Bring your family and friends to experience Celebration Sunday!
Finally, thank you for playing a significant role in another amazing year at Crossroads. As I’ve already shared, it’s been a remarkable year in almost every area of our church. Thank you for your continued faithfulness to CHRIST and to CROSSROADS. And thank you for the privilege of serving as your Pastor.

I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in 2016!

Happy New Year!!
