ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

By Barry Cameron
December 22, 2017

If you really want to know what I’d like for Christmas, here’s my Christmas list for Crossroads:

I’d like to see us become all God wants us to be. A church that loves Him, lives for Him, honors and glorifies Him.

I’d like to see us become a holy church where every one of us is set apart for Him and Him alone. Where we set apart the first portion of every day, the first day of every week, the first portion of our income, the first word on every decision and the first place in our priorities — for Him!

I’d like to see us have all of our people passionately participating in touching the lives of others with the love of Christ through some ministry here each week.

I’d like to see us get to the place where we have more volunteers to serve than places to serve.

I’d like to see us have leaders at every level who lead by example. No exceptions. No excuses, just an enthusiastic example of what a true Christ-follower really looks like.

I’d like to see us become more of a praying church.

I’d like to see us growing and maturing in our walk with the Lord on an ever-increasing basis.

I’d like to see us reaching out more to the community around us with the love of Christ.

I’d like to see us become a church where EVERY member is present for EVERY Lord’s day, EVERY week, unless sick or out of town.

I’d like to see us become a church known for more than just the way we preach the Gospel. I’d like for us to be known and respected for the way we live it.

I’d like to see us get all the funds we need to begin construction on our new youth building.

I’d like to see us get to the place where every person is at least a tither of their income (giving 10% back to God) every week. Our giving has been wonderful again this year. But, here’s the amazing part, if every single person was a tither, our offerings would exceed $300,000.00 every week!

I’d like to see us receive the largest Christmas Love Offering in our history so we can reload, refuel and renew our efforts to reach even more in the New Year.

I’d like to see all the road construction completed on the new highway and the roads surrounding us done where people can get in and out easily.

I’d like to see us become a church where everyone is connected to someone, somehow, some way. Relationships are the glue that hold us all together.

I’d like to see us so full of God and so full of His Word that every service has the Spirit of revival and the anointing of God upon us.

I’d like to see us become a church known for more than just the way we preach the Gospel. I’d like for us to be known and respected for the way we live it.

I’d like to see us have the largest crowds ever for a Christmas Eve, this Sunday, as thousands come to worship Christ, the Lord.

That’s my Christmas list for Crossroads. What’s on yours?

MERRY CHRISTMAS from our family to yours. This will be our 26th Christmas at Crossroads. We are more grateful and thankful to God than ever before, for the privilege of serving with you. May God bless you and your family with the greatest Christmas ever and may His blessing and provision be yours in abundance in the New Year.

P.S. One more thing on my Christmas list … I’d like to see the Oklahoma Sooners win the ROSE BOWL and the National Championship on January 8th.
