WE FORGOT

When a global pandemic hit …

we forgot.

When our nation was literally shut down …

we forgot.

When we experienced the worst health crisis since the early 1900’s …

we forgot.

When our country was in absolute turmoil with protests over racial discrimination and riots broke out in several major cities …

we forgot.

When our economy was tanking, businesses were closing and people were losing their jobs …

we forgot.

When people we knew and loved were getting sick, some even dying from a mysterious virus, and we weren’t allowed to say goodbye to them as they lie dying in hospital beds, alone …

we forgot.

When we were told we couldn’t get together for worship as a church …

we forgot.

When our whole nation and world seemed to be shaken to its core …

we forgot.

With all the stuff going on around us and in our own hearts, it became too easy for us to forget ...

that people desperately need JESUS.

This weekend … we’ll remember. That’s what our Missions Conference is all about. Let’s remember, renew our hearts and recommit ourselves to the Lord of the harvest.

JESUS said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Matthew 9:37-38/NIV).
