Here at Crossroads, we’re committed to becoming genuine followers of Christ who make disciples for Christ. Our mission statement explains that Crossroads is all about “Connecting people to God and to one another.” That’s it. We are here to help people make the connection with God and with other fully-devoted followers of Christ.
Why? Because when someone gets connected to God, becomes a genuine follower of Christ and gets connected to other genuine followers of Christ, their whole life changes…for their whole life. Their walk with the Lord takes on a whole new dynamic. Their purpose in life and passion for life becomes crystal clear. Their personal involvement in ministry within the local church elevates to an entirely different level of energy and enthusiasm and they become passionate about making disciples.
Connect Groups provide an incredible tool for us to make disciples who will make disciples, and that happens best with good leaders. Since our Connect Group leaders play such an important role, we take care when enlisting them. Please read through the information below to better understand the role and expectations of a leader. If, after consideration, you are interested in pursuing Connect Group leadership please follow the instructions below to complete the Connect Group Leader Application. Role of a Connect Group Leader
Connect Group leaders are responsible for providing their groups with vision, direction and support. Leaders are successful when they personally love God, live out their faith, serve in ministry and give their best, and encourage their group members to grow in these areas as well. Connect Group leaders are supported by a Crossroads staff member.
- Be connected as a member of Crossroads.
- Have completed the Starting Point session.
- Have read, agreed to, and signed a copy of the LEADERSHIP STANDARDS for all leaders at Crossroads.
- Be willing to serve for a minimum of two consecutive seasons. (There will be three seasons each year, typically 8-10 weeks in duration.)
- Attend two training meetings per year.
- Lead your group in at least one community service project (per year) and once social outing (per season).
