MISSIONS’ MINISTRY @ CROSSROADS

In Acts 1:8, Jesus told His first disciples, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Ever since that day, Christians have been spreading out all over the world to “make disciples of all nations …” (Matthew 28:18-20).

Crossroads is absolutely committed to reaching every man, woman, boy and girl we can, with the gospel, both here in our community and all over the world.

Besides having a number of missions and missionaries we support beyond our community and in other parts of the world, we are also heavily involved in mission endeavors here at home.

CHANGE FOR A DOLLAR

One of the most rewarding things our church does is Change For A Dollar. Each week, we ask our people to give $1 more than they were planning to give, and whatever our weekend attendance is for that week, we will give that amount away to help needy people connected to the Crossroads community. For example, if we have 7,500 people attend, we will give away $7,500.00 that week. We began this program in 2015 and have already given away over half a million dollars to help people in our community.

LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES

We support multiple local food pantries who provide groceries and guidance for people who need immediate benevolent assistance. Based on visit one of these pantries for groceries if you are in an emergency situation.

CROSSROADS’ DAY OF SERVICE

We believe in getting the whole family involved in missions here at home. This includes an annual Day of Service where 1,500 – 2,000 of our people head out to serve in all kind of ways helping our community.

SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS

We also support annual short-term missions trips for Jr. high, High school and college-age people.

We also have people ready to serve as needed on Disaster Relief teams.

Crossroads’ people have plenty of opportunities to roll up their sleeves and share the love of Jesus with the hurting, hungry and needy.

WANT TO HELP?

The prayers and financial support of our church family serve as the foundation for everything we are able to do at home and all over the world. Ten percent of our General Fund offerings each week goes directly to missions.

Involvement in a Connect Group is another ideal way to be directly involved in meeting the needs of others. Not only will you have the opportunity to minister to the people in your Connect Group, but your group will also have the privilege to serve together in our Community Service days.

Another way to help is by participating in mission fundraisers. Our youth short-term mission trips are sponsored in part by our spring and fall golf tournaments. Our college short-term mission trips are supported by an annual Crossroads 5K Mission Run held each October.
