Summer is Harvest Time
In John 4:35, JESUS said, “Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest?’ Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.” A lot of churches scale back their programs and ministries in the summer. Others take a break and wait until October arrives to gear up for ministry again.
Here at Crossroads we believe SUMMER is HARVEST TIME! So we are gearing up for the greatest summer in our history and want YOU to be part of it.
This summer, we're asking every member of our great church family to do FOUR THINGS. We want you …
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)
There’s no reason anyone has to miss out this summer. With SIX SUNDAY SERVICES and LIVESTREAM, no one has to miss a single service. We’re asking you to commit to being INVOLVED all summer long. If you are out of town, watch online. If you’re in town, be in church with your family every Sunday this summer.
“And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.’” (Luke 14:23)
We want you to invite people to come to Crossroads all summer long. With our Sunday services, special events like Kids Nights Live, starting next Monday, June 25 through Friday, June 29, church camps, Family Nights, awesome special summer speakers: KEN HAM, CHRIS BROWN, MICHAEL FRANZESE, LEE STROBEL, and more, there will be plenty of opportunities to invite your unchurched friends and family members.
“I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.” (Luke 16:9/NIV)
The greatest investment we can ever make is helping men and women and boys and girls get to Heaven. The Bible promises a harvest to the generous (Proverbs 11:24-25) and a blessing to those who sow generously. So much so we will be blessed where we can be generous on every occasion (2 Corinthians 9:6-11).
We’re asking all of our people to faithfully and generously give this summer, investing in the lives of thousands of people who need JESUS. If you haven’t already set up online giving, this is a terrific time to do it and you never have to worry about missing a Sunday when you’re gone. If you need help, call the office and one of our staff will be glad to help you.
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Our mission and passion here at Crossroads is "connecting people to God and to one another". This summer we’re asking everyone to make an extra special effort to help people get connected and feel included. Inviting people to participate is awesome. But welcoming them and making them feel part of what we’re doing is better still. Will you help us this summer include and connect as many people as possible?
Proverbs 10:5 says, “He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame.” This summer we’re praying for and passionately pursuing the harvest God has prepared for us. We want to see more people come to know JESUS as Lord and Savior. More people come to worship. More people serving. More people excited about JESUS and His church than any other summer ever.
Will you help us gather the harvest? Remember: SUMMER is HARVEST TIME!

Get on The Road This Summer
Every one of us should be on the road to becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus.
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus said, “All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Two things are obvious from what Jesus commanded us to do...
